Final Video
Week 1
For my Blog-Proj I decided to choose Aroma Joes. I will be following their instagram and facebook. For this week they have posted 2 photos on instagram and facebook. The first is a photo of two Aroma Joes workers with a coffee. This post offers you a chance to win 50$ to Aroma Joes. Lots of people commented on this post trying to get the gift card. This post was spreading positivity because they asked the customers to say encouraging things to someone they love. Throughout the comments you see people tagging their friends and family sending encouraging words. Aromas does this a lot where they have contestes and it gets the followers participating and sharing the post. The other post from this week was a picture of fall themed drinks and food. With the caption mentioning the flavor of maple and the themed drinks and waffle. There is only one comment on this post so not many found it as intriguing as the last post.
Week 2
This week aroma joes has posted a few different photos. During the week they posted two photos announcing two new locations that have opened up. Whenever Aroma Joes opens any new location they post where it is. That shows how close knit the community is because you don’t see big brands doing this because they open up new buildings all the time. I feel this works because it shows how close the community is and makes it feel more connected to people. The other post this week was more about fall drinks that have been released. As a person who loves fall, I enjoy learning about the new fall menu as I’m sure most people are. Lots of people enjoy trying fall themed drinks because pumpkin has such a good flavor. Throughout the week they also posted instagram stories showing the fall drinks as well. I believe the advertising for the new drinks they do is pretty good. They post the same images throughout their other social media platforms. Aroma Joes also attended the Dempsey Challenge serving drinks for everyone around. I feel like this is super good advertising for their business.
Week 3
For this week I feel they had some of their best advertising. They had Patrick Dempsey film a video talking about his challenge he puts on every year, the Dempsey challenge. This video was posted for national coffee day and 1 dollar of each coffee bought would be donated to the Dempsey Challenge to help fight cancer. I know I went and got a coffee on this day and Patrick Dempsey definitely reminded me it was that day. I feel bringing in a famous maine local was very smart because we all feel connected to patrick dempsey since he is also from maine and aroma joes originated in maine. A news center also picked this up and wrote an article giving it more hype and business. Most of the posts this week were about national coffee day so I do think they could’ve done some different things throughout the week to add a little different of images but this week was definastly a good pull to the eye.
Week 4
This week feels similar to previous weeks. They have posted a picture talking about their “perfect pumpkin latte.” I do think the image is very cool and helps bring us into the spirit of fall and halloween. I think they do a great job each week reminding us of the fall flavors they have. Another one of these posts is about the maple flavors they have in store. This image is also very fall but in a different way, they do good at catching different vibes for each photo they post even if it is about the same thing. Aroma joes is also very good at keeping up on these small little holidays. It was World Smile Day and they made a post saying “thank you for always making us smile in Aj’s nation” and I feel this is a very good advertising move letting the customers know that they are thankful for them. I enjoy how they use photos of actual workers there not models. Not many people commented on these posts this week.
Week 5
This week aroma joes stuck to their basic posting of fall drinks. The fans of aroma joes definitely eat that up. There were some comments on the name of the drink and how excited people were to try the drink. They didn’t post as much as they usually do. They had only posted twice this week which I feel they should keep up with the more posting to keep the fans interested and reminded of them. The 2nd post from this week was honoring an aroma joes worker. I feel this was a cool post to see to show how tight knit of a community. I feel this was really cool telling us about how she comes to work with a smile and just got a promotion for her work. Once again I like how close everyone in aromas feels.
Week 6
This week was very mellow. They had only made two posts this week which I feel is under what they usually post. I feel they should try and keep it up to three posts a week just to stay on people’s feeds. They only had one post about their merchandise which I feel is slightly bad. They had one drink posted this week and that was it. I feel they need to keep reminding people what they have or figuring out a new way to keep people engaged. The other post they made this week was about a certain location that needs workers. I feel like if they are gonna post about needing workers they need to post more interesting posts
Week 7
This week I decided to take a peek at twitter and they are not very active on there. They are not up to date on the posts they post on instagram and facebook. Aside from the not up to date posts on twitter, they didn’t post this much this week. Although they did not post much they posted a cool photo. It was someone in an astronaut suit and a drink outside the drive thru window. The caption was witty and funny. They captioned the post “You could say our handcrafted drinks are out of this world” I do feel they are slacking with posts and stories posted. They didnt use the story posts at all this week and I feel that is a easy way to post but not make an official post in a way.
Week 8
This week I feel aromas posted a really nice post that was asthetically pleasing for halloween. Their last posts have been very casual and you can tell they were taken off an iphone. The halloween drink post they made looked very spooky and definitely pulls you in. They added smoke in the background, making it a very ominous vibe. Aside from the Halloween post they posted a photo of their most popular drinks called rushes. They asked the people what tehre faviorte flavors of rushes are. This got the followers super involved in comments and liking others comments. I feel this was a smart post to make to get people involved.
Week 9
This week aroma joes posted many times. Their posts this week have been frequent and definitely very collaborative and it shows us what is going on with aroma joes. The first post of the week they introduced us to the new hot sauce packets they will be selling which go great with the egg bites they also sell. I feel it’s nice seeing new items being sold, not just new drink ideas, which is what they usually do. They also recently held a contest and they showed us the two winners in a post. This is amazing to see because it will make people enter in upcoming contests they hold which can gain them more followers if they know they can win trips and such. Their third post this week is about the new holiday drink this year which looks very appealing so it will definitely get people to try it out. This week was also veterans day, so they made a post for the veterans and offered them a free drink on friday. I feel that is very nice and definitely a good thing for a business to do. They posted another photo of a drink and egg bites telling you about the egg bite deal they are currently having. And lastly, they announced another contest.
Week 10
As we enter into our final week of the blog proj, it ends on a lower note than last week. Compared to the multiple posts last week, they only posted about two times this week. They did however post on their stry today which does add more to their social media. On their story (facebook and instagram) they had reposted a picture a customer posted about the cute holiday cups they have. It showcases the snowflakes which get people excited for the holidays and to consume aroma joes. For the real posts they had this week it was first Introducing us back into the peppermint bark latte. I feel when places promote holiday drinks it brings in new customers who don’t usually consume their products. This is a smart move for aroma joes because I personally know people buying the holiday drinks even though aromas aren’t their first option. And for the second post this week they were featuring workers at one of the locations. When they make posts like these, it definitely shows you how personable they are and they do care about their workers, not just the customers. Aromas only has been using their facebook and instagram, but instagram is what gets the views, Yet they post the exact same things.
